The Endless Maze

Today we headed to the North Shore. We visited the Dole Plantation first, very yummy pineapple!!  It was probably just a tourist trap but we enjoyed ourselves.  We did a little train ride and learned the history of the Dole Plantation and pineapple.  We then ate some lunch which included the famous Dole Whip (don't be too jealous Alayne).  Heidi used to get this in high school at Disney all the time.  She savored every lick.  We then toured a garden and took on the world's largest maze!  In the maze you have to find little stations to mark off on your card.  Heidi and I did it in 50 minutes, which was actually rather quickly!

Worlds largest maze, we know how to stretch the rules to finish
We then drove up to the beach.  The North Shore in the summer is NOTHING like the winter.  There weren't many waves, rather than the 30 foot waves found in the winter.

North Shore
After checking out the North Shore beach we drove across the northeast along the coast.  A few u-turns and a longer than expected drive(Google maps on the iPhone is horrible in Hawaii) we arrived at Buzz's.  This restaurant was recommended by Heidi's program director, Dr. Cook.  We all ordered fish and finished it off with some ice cream cake.  They had 4 different fish with 5 different preparations to choose from.  It was D-Lish-US!!

Salmon with a Teriyaki glaze
Blackened Mahi Mahi
Vanilla Ice Cream Pie (What is left)

We ended our night with ANOTHER round of Spades.  Heidi is back to work tomorrow.
