Since we are leaving on Sunday, July 29th Heidi had to pick up an extra shift this week. We decided to have a nice relaxing day and drive to the east coast of Oahu to Kailua Beach. Just inside the Kailua Beach Park was the Lanikai Shrimp Shack a favorite of other residents. Luckily we had enough cash to try both the Fish Tacos and the Garlic shrimp.

After lunch we took the boogie boards out and had fun playing in the water. The beach drops fast as you head out, but the floor is not as rocky as other places. Unfortunately the water isn't as clear either.

Kaiula Beach has some great views of other small islands. Hopefully we will have time another day to come back and kayak to one of the close ones.

Tomorrow we are spending the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, before picking up Jaron and Christina from the airport at 9pm.
